Meet the Team

Tidal Bore Dental Hygiene was founded by Shelby Beedie and Nadine Hassanain, with Julie Dunphy joining us as our associate dental hygienist.

Our vision for Tidal Bore started with a simple goal: to create a different kind of dental hygiene experience while supporting the dental community here in Truro and surrounding areas. We wanted to build a clinic where we could work collaboratively with local dental offices, help bridge gaps in care, and make it easier for patients to get the preventive care they need to get back on track with their oral health.

As dental hygienists, having the autonomy to provide care based on what we feel is best for each individual patient was an important part of creating Tidal Bore. Just as importantly, we wanted to create a place where we could reconnect with why we chose this career in the first place — helping people and making a meaningful difference in their oral health.

We’re proud to be an independently owned, female-led clinic and are excited to be part of the Truro community. Our goal is to work alongside our local dental partners, not replace them, while providing patients with accessible, thorough and personalized preventive dental hygiene care.
